Sydney Girls High School has an extensive sports program and is a compulsory subject for all students from Year 7 to Year 11. Girls participate in a wide variety of sports on a weekly basis during normal school time. Sport is in addition to student’s weekly Personal Development, Health, & Physical Education (PDHPE) lessons which have a practical component.
SGHS holds three sports carnivals each year for Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics. Students compete in their school House colour – Campbell, Garvin, Macquarie, Moore. Carnivals are the pathway for representative selection in which students can progress to Zone, Regional and NSW CHS levels.
