Welcome to our beautiful Margaret Varady Rowing Facility, nestled in scenic Gladesville with stunning views of Tarban Creek.
This remarkable space is a collaboration between Sydney Girls High School and the University of NSW, highlighting our shared passion for rowing and community spirit.
We were honoured to have Sydney Girls alumna, Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, officially open the facility on June 28, 2009. Her recognition of the incredible contribution made by Margaret Varady AO, a former principal and passionate advocate for schoolgirl rowing, adds a special touch to this venue.
The rowing shed is not just a place for storing boats and coaching equipment; it is a vibrant hub where friendships are formed, skills are honed, and memories are made.
With a first-level conference room and study area, it is perfect for gatherings, meetings, or simply enjoying some downtime with friends. Whether you are a seasoned rower or just starting out, join our enthusiastic rowing community. Come and be a part of something unforgettable.
