Rowing Facilities

Rowing shed

Located in Gladesville, overlooking Tarban Creek, the Margaret Varady Rowing Facility was a joint venture between Sydney Girls High School and the University of NSW.

The Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, officially opened the boatshed on June 28, 2009 and in particular recognised the extraordinary contribution made by the former principal, Margaret Varady AO towards schoolgirl rowing.

The rowing shed provides storage for the school’s and university’s fleet of boats and coaching equipment and has a first level which acts as a conference room, study area and can host social gatherings.
